American Dream Mall
This is going to be a fun post for anyone who likes shopping, theme parks, or being a little over the top. I’m going to talk about my experience at the relatively new mall in Rutherford NJ, The American Dream Mall. It is owned by the same company who owns the Mall of American in Bloomington, MN and it was quite an experience. It’s the first mall I’ve been to that has a theme park, water park, Legoland, aquarium, shopping, and more! I spent two days at the mall, and I didn't do and see everything. Here are my 3 favorite things about the mall:
Over the Top Decorations
After going to this mall, I can’t look at mall seating and decorations the same. It was an experience just to walk from store from store. As I walked through the different sections of the mall, the theme changed, and each was uniquely beautiful. I will note that there are three floors to the mall and the first floor was especially beautiful and contained the most seating. I have pictured below images from the Avenue (where the expensive stores are located) the Garden Court, and the Ferris Wheel (Dream Wheel) area.
Stores New to Me and Rare
The stores were maintained and decorated too. Many had window displays or neon signs. But more interesting was that they had stores I’d never shopped before, including Mango and Primark.
They also had a Charlotte Russe and a Toys R Us, which I have to shout out because I thought these stores were gone! Good to see an old favorite in Charlotte Russe and glad the kids enjoying themselves in Toys R Us.
Though the mall's official attractions require additional money, some stores felt like experiences! Its sugar was one of my favorite parts of the mall as it was decorated really well with an awesome candy them. The mall is also home to the first ever, Oreo café! The cafe sold Oreo merchandise as well as Oreo desserts to snacks on.
I really enjoyed this mall, and it has a lot of stores and restaurants still to come.
Though I had done research on this mall before I visited, it was better than I imagined it would be! That reminded me of this week's scripture from psalms 34:8.
Psalms 34:8 NIV: Taste and see that the Lord is good.
